It has been five years since the last release of Canada’s most popular radio character The Champ. The longest running syndicated feature in Canada brings his fifth CD to the People with a tip of the gloves to fans across the country.

This lovable retired heavy weight Champion has been heard coast to coast across Canada for over 20 years. He has a larger audience than ever with daily features on stations like Q-107 in Toronto and Rock 101 in Vancouver. This punch drunk boxer never seems to get it right and ends up "losing it, snapping and over reacting" to the enjoyment of us all. He has sold over 50,000 copies of his first four releases and has never been more popular.

The People’s Champ features the Champs first ever single 'The Champ’s Blues' featuring one of Canada’s most respected guitarists David Gogo. The CD is a little more risqué than the radio program and is not recommended for young audiences. There is also a tip of the hat to the late Gary McLean of McLean and McLean.
